Ouch.

A lot of these remakes didn't have plans beyond "cool looking action scenes".

I don't know, I enjoyed Fury Road much more. The music, the near constant chase, the practical effects, Charlize. The effects in this one seemed fake at times, whereas the CGI hits you in the face with that guitar guy crash in Fury Road. I mean, it was... mediocre with upswings, I guess. Not as bad as some people say, but definitely not better than FR, or even close to what I'd call "good". Anya did a good job, the girl actress was OK too, Chris's character was weird and chaotic, demented, nomen omen, I liked that. I guess it didn't quite live up to the action of the first one in my eyes, there was something missing most of the time. I don't mind that there wasn't any Mad Max in it, Furiosa seemed like an interesting character to me in FR, so the choice to make her the center of attention in this story was fine with me. It's just altogether too late of a release and didn't quite hit the spot.

Nothing after Kung Fu Panda 3 has been good. And this is the first time they made Po less important than he was. That show dragon knight had him screw up and lose the respect of the people in the process. All while walking around with an unlikable female bear masquerading as a knight. Doing the whole liar revealed plot. But, Po was still the dragon warrior. Now, they are just straight up trying to replace him now. You don't see the furious five giving up their titles. In fact, where the hell are they???

Forget mediocre, this movie flat out sucked

I was really hoping they would stick with the original's look which was more comic book accurate than this cheap, anime style they decided to go with. X-Men were never anime unless you're counting that failed series. Why do they always have to try to be different and just give us an accurate representation of the source material?

I really wished Iron Fist got a third season so we can see Danny Rands character fully get redeemed.

Overall i liked it. I had to turn off my technical writing brain though.

I never got into it neither.

yeah the movie is molded in the one-liner, mindless era of chris hemsworth's career as Thor and so it goes.
